About the Plan

A Vision for Public Transportation in Annapolis

Public transportation plays an important role in our community.
It connects residents with jobs, medical services, educational institutions, shopping and other key destinations.
It provides access to opportunities, contributes to economic prosperity, and enhances our quality of life.
Future investments in transit require both a unified vision and planning.

The Transit Development Plan (TDP) serves as a guide for improving transit services in the City of Annapolis. The TDP provides a roadmap for implementing service and organizational improvements, including potential service expansion, during the next five years.

Specifically, the TDP will:

  • Establish the City’s goals and objectives for transit.
  • Review and assess current transit services.
  • Identify unmet transit needs and services issues.
  • Develop service alternatives, recommendations, and an implementation plan.

When completed, the Transit Development Plan will serve as a guide for implementing transit service changes, improvements, and expansion over the next five years.
